The Versatility of a White Denim Skirt

Recently, I made a purchase from an online boutique. My standards for this garment were low considering this online boutique had fast fashion written all over it (and no, it wasn’t SHEIN). I discovered the skirt I ordered while I was tirelessly scrolling through TikTok. The skirt looked perfect, and it was love at first sight.
A few short hours later, I had it sitting in my shopping cart, ready to order. It arrived at my house, and I was ecstatic. I had no idea how I was going to style it, but remember, it was love at first sight, so it didn’t matter as long as it was safely hung up in my closet.
After having it for a month, I can confidently say that this piece has come in clutch many times. This skirt goes with almost everything, so I’ve had fun playing with it.
The first chance I got, I styled it with a white camisole, a navy-blue cashmere J. Crew cardigan, and navy blue and white plaid platform stilettos. I interpreted the outfit as something that modern-day Dorothy might wear. Anyway, the blues looked so rich and tied together perfectly.
A couple weeks later, after I threw everything out of my closet, exclaiming, “I have nothing to wear!” and throwing a tantrum, I remembered the prized white denim pleated skirt I had recently bought. I had mass that day and was already wearing pantyhose and Coach black quilted ballet flats, so I decided it would be cute to add the white skirt. I ended up wearing a black Banana Republic cashmere sweater with it.
Finally, I decided that the skirt needed to be styled with more edge. Now I am a girly girl through and through, so this was a challenge and nowhere near the edge, but it still looked cute. I wore a light gray off-shoulder sweater, the skirt, and black booties. I threw this together in just five minutes and thoroughly enjoyed the variation of colors.
