From my personal experience, wearing a stunning dress can some times be the only motivation to go to a school dance. My school has very strict rules, that just make going to the dance a pain in the butt. Heck. The teachers don't even want to go to the dance and some of them plan it.

I always wear black or white to homecoming. This year, I was trying to branch out with the color options and find colors that I thought were fun but didn't look totally tacky. I just think I can look back and confidently say, I don't hate that dress. When I look back in 20 years I won't want to vomit because of my dress. Classiness. The common theme in my fashion blog posts. I strongly believe in order for your dress to withstand the test of time it is absolutely necessary to have a simple silhouette.

I read an article about this time last year in the school news paper discussing the power of silhouettes in fashion. Although I am not the biggest fan of glittery bright pink or just colors in general, as long as the silhouette is sleek and interesting to look at (in a good way) the dress should be fine. Now timeless would be a stretch because color obviously has a lot to do with the dress too. A great example of this would be Valentino's fall/winter 2022-2023 fashion show.

So here are some dresses that are fun but have some timeless detailing. I'm going to start from basic dresses to the more interesting ones.
